Hansen Nursing Tuition

The late Mildred S. Hansen, former owner and publisher of the Greeley Tribune, left much of her estate in the form of scholarships to several organizations throughout the community. The North Colorado Medical Center Foundation was one recipient of her remarkable generosity.

To be considered for the Hansen Nursing Tuition Scholarship, an applicant must be a resident of Weld County in his or her senior year of high school with serious plans to pursue a bachelor's degree in nursing. Applicant must be a citizen of the United States of America. During the first two years of college, the recipient will receive assistance equal to in-state tuition as well as reimbursement for books. During the second two years, the scholarship covers these costs in addition to paying student fees and providing a stipend for living expenses.
