Charitable Remainder Trust
A charitable remainder trust is an individually managed trust that may be tailored to the specific needs of the donor or designated beneficiaries. These trusts can be structured to provide income for life or for a term of years. They also allow you to specify how the income and principal are to be distributed, and to whom. Moreover, the trust assets can be managed for income or growth, depending on the beneficiary's/donor's needs. Charitable remainder trusts can accept a broad range of gift assets and provide either fixed or variable rate payments. These trusts are popular because of their flexibility. At the end of the trust’s term, often at the end of the beneficiaries’ lifetimes, the North Colorado Medical Center Foundation, Inc. will receive the principal.
